Earlier this year we saw a TV show ( possibly RS ?) that showed concerts in Vienna that are displayed on outdoor video screens in parks/plazas. Does anyone know where/when/IF these concerts occur? We're hoping to return to Vienna this summer/fall and would like to experience one of these outdoor events. Thanks.

Some of the movies, recorded concerts, operas, and ballets are shown in front of the city hall (Rathausplatz). We were there with a Rick Steves' tour group a couple of years ago and went there one evening. I think that they are in July and August.

Also in Salzburg are classical concerts upon huge screens near the cathedral in Residenzplatz performed. This is free and at night in the summer and late spring.
