We will be in Mittenwald in early October. I know that the most famous view of Neuschwanstein is covered with scaffolding - so I am wondering if there is another vantage point to view the castle that isn't covered with the scaffolding.
Thanks
I just looked at our pictures from a month ago. The one side that you see from Marien Brucke is completely covered with scaffolding...but you have to work to get that view (an uphill walk to the bridge). It is disappointing to not have the famous view once you get there, but that was the only time we even noticed scaffolding. Looking at the pictures now I can see a tiny bit in on the right side of our picture with the view posted above. The view above is what we saw from Hohenschwangau (town and castle). You get different views as you walk to up Neuschwanstein, but nothing with scaffolding.
