Ordering a Länder ticket online

My husband and I would like to buy a Länder ticket for one day while in the Mannheim-Heidelberg-Baden-Baden area. When I try to order one (to print out at home) online, I am asked for the destination. Do I just put in our final destination even though we plan to visit other towns that day in the area? I am afraid that the ticket will say Mannheim - Baden-Baden and only be good for a train between those two cities. I also don't want to be restricted to a train at a certain time and the online site seems to want me to choose a particular train. The price seems to be correct (28 euros) for a Länder ticket in Baden-Wurtemburg. Help, please!

There is no advantage to buying a Baden-Württemberg-Ticket in advance online. Buy it from an automat at the station (28 euro) or pay 2 euro more and buy it at the ticket window. The ticket is valid from Monday to Sunday for one day of your choice from 9 a.m. until 3 a.m. of the following day and on Saturday and Sunday and bank holidays from 0 a.m. until 3 a.m. of the following day. It can be used on all local trains (Interregio-Express, Regional-Express, Regionalbahn, S-Bahn) and the entire transport system of the Verkehrsverbünde Baden-Württemberg, with some exceptions.

I have to agree with Tim. I have used Länder tickets for years and always purchased them at the automat in the Bahnhof that morning. The tickets are not quantity limited. They don't sell out. There is no point to advance purchase. The one exception: since they are valid to travel in many of the transit districts, where your starting point might not have a ticket automat, sometimes it is advantageous to purchase them the day before, to have them in hand first thing in the morning.
