When we were in Paris in July we took the English tour at the Opera Garnier. My daughters are going next May and I can't figure out from the website if they offer the tours then. Anyone have experience with this? Can it be possible they only have tours from July 10th - Aug. 31st?? This is what the website says: guided tours in English is available every day until 31st August
summer hours from 10th July to 31st August, 2011 at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm

We took the English tour in March of this year and were easily able to get in without advance reservations.

I cannot answer your question but can tell you that my husband and I had never heard of the Paris Opera house, and happened upon it unexpectedly. Had I know how spectacular it was I most definitely would have arrived for the English tour. We did not not take a tour as there was none in English at the time of day we were there, and even without the tour it is a place I will always remember. I hope you can figure out when the English tour is, but do emphasize to them that they should see it even if they can't get a tour...it's worth it! SuzieeQQ

I completely agree! Helping my daughters plan their trip, the Opera was one thing we said was not to miss. I think I'm just going to have them arrive at one of the tour times and hope they have them that day. I guess they can always just tour on their own if need be, but we really benefited from the tour. Thanks!
