We will be in Paris in December and would like to attend the Opera de Paris. We are trying to purchase tickets in advance, but they are not available thru the opera website for the dates we need. Two websites - classictic.com and vienna ticket office have the tics we need. Anyone have any experience with reliability of these websites?

Joy, I had an unhappy experience with Classictic earlier this year. I bought and paid for 2 tickets for a concert in Paris at la Madeleine on May 1. The concert was cancelled but we were not advised, and when I complained to Classictic, no refund was forthcoming until Visa intervened. The whole thing took months to settle and then they billed me again because I had the nerve to complain about them on this board. Deal with them at your peril, is my advice.

I had the opposite experience with Classictic. I ordered tickets to a concert that was going to be held at the church at St. Germain des Pres. Two weeks prior to our departure I received an email apologizing that the concert had been changed to Ste. Chappelle. I emailed them to see if we needed new tickets and was told that our original tickets were good.
Ours was a good experience.
