Open Air Markets in Paris

Does anyone know where there is a good produce etc. market in the area of Pont Marie (Marais, slightly south of Place des Vosges). I'm also interested in a good market street if there is one nearby.Where would these be if not in my specified area?
Thanks.

THANKS!! It's just what I was looking for vis a vis the open air markets. However, I'm not seeing specific food market streets like the rue Cler. Is there any way to find out if there's a food market street in the areas you mentioned?
This was truly helpful!

The "markets" listed on the left side of the Mayor of Paris website are all food and produce markets...the ones on the right are specialty ones like stamps, birds, etc. The website lists those markets where outside vendors come in, set up, then leave at the end of the day. Rue Cler is not a "market" in that sense, since it consists of local shops putting their wares out for display and sale on the street, a common sight all over Paris.

That's what I mean, Norm. I know the rue Cler is a market street, with permanent shops. That's what I'm looking for in my neighborhood, as well as the temporary open air markets on the Mayor's site.
Any thoughts?

Wherever you're staying will be able to direct you. I would think the closest is along Rue de Bretagne, north of you, up Rue de Turenne, then left on Bretagne...about a kilometer or 6/10ths of a mile. You probably won't be able to walk a block or two without running into smaller ones.

Sounds good. I'm relying on this board because we are renting an apartment from on off-premises landlord, so there isn't anyone to help us.I truly, truly appreciate your suggestions as this is terra incognita for me. I'm used to the Left Bank!
