I wanted to buy a ticket for early May, but it looks like you can only buy online for the current month. Can anyone confirm this-have you purchased online tickets for the tower?

It might no be such a good idea. What if the weather stinks for the time-slot in which you have the tickets? Go and see nothing, or don't go and have to buy more tickets.

We bought online from our hotel in Paris the day before we visited. That way we had an idea of the weather as well as being able to pick a time that fit our schedule. Saved us time in line.
