Hi I am driving between DornBirn in Austria to Zurich through blackforest in one day - start at around 9 in dornbirn and finish around 9 pm in zurich What would be a good route to cover? Mainly interested in nature sightseeing
Should I stop in Triberg and do a round trip to Hausach on the black forest train?

The trip from Hausach to Freiberg takes an hour longer through Triberg than it does through Offenburg. Go to Donaueschingen (or to Konstanz or Singen) and take the Schwarzwaldbahn train via Triberg and Hausach to Offenburg, then come up the Rhein (south) to Freiberg.

To clarify. I have to return the car in Zurich. I was planning to do a round trip on train from triberg to hausach just I get the experience

The train between Triberg and Hausach takes about 20 minutes. When you get to Hausach, there is another approx 20 min wait for the train back to Triberg - just over 60 min, round trip.
