My boyfriend and I are going to Paris for one full month- October. What is the best way to rent a small studio or
1-bedroom apartment? is $1000-2000 USD a realistic budget for rent? I know it will vary widely by neighborhood- the Marais would be ideal, but I don't know if that's possible. Any info is appreciated!

Hi Renee, Parisnotes.com has a long list of agencies. And, slowtrav.com lists some agencies and has reviews from readers. We're renting an apt in June for a month as well, on Ile Saint Louis, and we used ParisAttitude.com.

Hi Renee,
I spent 6 weeks in one bedroom apt in the Marais in Rue St Paul. Excellent location and cost E3000.
Rented from www.rentalfrance.com who were excellent and have many other apartments all over Paris at various prices, and probably in your price range. I personally recommend the Marais area as I love it.

I only spent a couple of weeks in an apartment near Eiffel Tower, but I believe they had price for monthly rent. I rent it from beau-paris.com
