October in Paris

What kind of weather do I need to expect, do I bring my umbrella?

October is usually one of the driest months in western Europe, but I would still expect some rain. Temps are usually very mild.

I wouldn't bother to bring an umbrella. If it rains you can buy one there. My daughter bought one that says Paris all over it, and now she loves to use it here at home. People always ask her where she got it.

If you bring an umbrella, it will likely be in your room in your suitcase when you need it. So I've stopped carrying them. Lots of hotels have umbrellas at the door, which you can borrow when you go out if it's raining.
