On a trip to Europe this fall we will be in Oberstaufen for several days. We plan to have a car, and use our resort as a base for day trips around the area. Any suggestions of trips we must take? Thanks

Lindau, Friedrichshafen (Zeppelin Museum), castle at Sigmaringen, Kleinwalsertal (near Oberstdorf). All of that is readily accessible by rail, although getting to Kleinwalsertal would be more direct by car.
