I am just now starting planning for a 2010 vacation and realized that this coming summer is the year for the Passion play. Any insights on how to see the play independently without a tour company?

This has been asked several times here in the last few months and the answer for some time now has been that tickets to individuals are no longer available, the only option is to go through a tour.
