Nov. 1 All Saints Day Holiday - Germany - what will be closed?

Is there an easy way to figure out what attractions, stores, etc. will be closed for the Nov. 1 All Saints Day in Germany? I am going to each attraction's website and trying to figure it out which is quite time consuming...and not always helpful. We will either by in Fussen or Munich on that day. Thank you!

Bavaria is very Catholic, so you can bet a lot of places will close. Probably easier to find open attractions in Munich than in tiny Fussen. That said, you could do hikes from Fussen on that day, so its up to you.

It is only a holiday in Bavaria, so lots of people come to other states to go shopping. Frankfurt will be packed with Bavarians doing their Christmas shopping! As to what is closed, it is common on holidays for tourist attractions to be open, like museums, art galleries, movie theaters, etc. Restaurants of course will be open. The main places of business that will be closed will be stores. The attractions will be open so that families can enjoy the holiday together. Yes, Germans like to go see the same things as everyone else does and as tourists, will also have their maps out and look befuddled wandering around. Trains and buses, will run on a holiday schedule which is usually the same as a Sunday, but not always. This isn't a huge holiday, so I would expect things to be fairly normal other than shopping. Have you sent emails or called any of the sights you were thinking about seeing? Calling long distance isn't that expensive these days and then you can rest assured that you won't miss anything. Or ask your hotel to find out for you. It is what Hotel front desk clerks are trained to do.

I did email the Munich Tourism office and got this reply regarding Nov. 1:

Majority is open except for: Bavarian National Museum, Deutsches Museum/Flugwerft Schleissheim, Pinakothek der Moderne (including Neue Sammlung), Palaeontological Museum, Schack Gallery, State Coin Collection, Museum of Anthropology.

I didn't think about shopping, though, so will be sure to write back and ask about that in Munich. It would be a huge shame if they were closed that Saturday as I'm aware they also close regularly on Sunday...and those are our only two days in Munich!
