We are traveling from Fredrikstad, Norway to PAris in September. It looks as if we fly from Rygge Airport to Paris Beauvais Airport?
We are looking for advice about the best way to get to our hotel in Paris from Paris Beauvais.
Two ways: Taxi or maybe shuttle to the train station. It's a couple of miles, too far to walk with much of anything. The train goes to Nord and runs better than once per hour. Just outside the door there's buses timed to flight arrivals. Get your ticket at the desk first. The bus goes to Porte Maillot only, from which you have to do the regular stuff to get to everwhere you're going. Both take about an hour, prices I've forgotten.
The best way might be to ditch RyanAir and look at Norwegian Air Shuttle, a fast-growing budget rival. It flies from Oslo airport to Orly, which is in the Paris suburbs, rather than far north of Paris with limited transit service. Even if this choice is not as cheap, it will save you plenty of time. http://www.norwegian.com/en/ To see the several possible connections to your hotel from Orly, look at the official Orly site http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/en-GB/Passagers/Home/
or the Paris transit system http://www.ratp.fr/en/
We've travel with Ryanair between Rygge and Paris-Beauvais on several occasion and I really recommend it. I love the cheap fare and the hassle-free small aiport! From the Beauvais airport, just hop on the bus shuttle that will take you to Paris, Porte Maillot in about 1 hour (depending on the traffic). From Porte Maillot, you can take a métro to wherever you cant in Paris.
