Please advise recommended guides for a tour in Normandy from Bayeux to Colleville su Mer, Pont De Huc etc many thanks
Brendan
There are daily conducted tours of the D-Day beaches which start in the center of Bayeux, a town that makes an excellent base for exploring Normandy. Look at this website as a possible place to stay: http://hotel-churchill.fr/pageUK/hotel.html
brendan,
I don't have any information on Guides that offer tours to those specific locations. However, I used BattleBus Tours in Normandy, and would highly recommend them. Depending on which tour you choose, these should get you to the desired locations.
The Tours usually depart from Bayeux and last the full day. They're a bit expensive but well worth the cost IMO.
Cheers!
We did two days of tours last summer and another this summer, both with Battlebus. I cannot recommend them more highly. For a history buff it is a dream come true, but even for one with only a passing interest, it is very much worthwhile.
We took the 9 hour Battle Bus tour and were VERY impressed.

This is the tour we took...which list the sites you have posted.
Brendan,
How long is your stay in Normandy? The listed tour company is really good. In addition, A car can give you better mobility and length of stay at each site. Three days is minimum for Normandy. Been twice still not enough time. Either way -- Good luck.

3 days (previous comment) would be great, but if you don't have that amount of time, you can see a lot in a day or two, especially if you get the right tour company.
Thanks to all for your replies.I am sure we will use one of the recommended tours..regrettably Battlebus no longer offers 1/2 day tours. Again thanks all for your response.
