Normandy day trip

I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a company (or independent guide) that conducts tours of the Normandy D-day sites in the off season. I've contacted both Battlebus and Overlord and they only offer private tours in December (which are out of our price range). We're going on the Rick Steves Paris City Tour and only have one day to do a side trip (we both MUST be back for work so staying in Normandy is not an option). I'd rather not attempt to drive around and locate all the sites on our own as we have such limited time and I want to make sure we'll make it back to Paris for our flight the next day. Thanks in advance for any help/info you can provide!

Kendra, we arranged for a tour through Fat Tire Tours in Paris the first time we went to D-Day beaches. I am not recommending them as I found them overpriced. We returned on June 2 2007 and took an all-day tour given by Normandy Sightseeing Tours. The owner is a gentleman named Federic Guerin. I know that they stay very busy through Oct, because he is the owner, he may go out in December. The first time, we took the train to Bayeux from Gare Lazare. The trip takes about 2 1/2 hours. We left around mid-morning and arrived a little after noon. We did a half day tour, which covers the main sites. He is a charming man with excellent English. You may reach him at http://www.normandywebguide.com or call 00.33.(0)2.31.51.70.52. If you have a Rick Steve's guide, it will tell you how to call France. You could try federicguerin@wanadoo.fr. Be prepared for an awesome experience. Second time, we drove-about 3 hours, easy drive. There is alot a space to cover, especially on your own.
