I'm going to be in Nimes next month and am looking for a place in the city center that would be close to everything and safe. I'm a 60 something young at heart woman.

If you haven't already, check out www.booking.com -- they have good descriptions of the hotel & a map that shows the location. Also good reviews by previous guests. Best of all, you don't pay until you get there -- just use a credit card to hold the reservation -- and their cancellation policy is very flexible.
