Looks like this is only offered starting April 1 till Christmas. I am very disappointed as we are going to be in Rotherberg on 29th March, 2008.

You are in luck: here's what is on the rothenburg website:

From January 12 until March 15, 2008 there is a tour with the Night Watchman only on Saturdays at 8 p.m.
The daily tours with the Night Watchman will start again on March 16, 2008.
You can also try to set up a personal tour (no idea how expensive) via his website: www.nightwatchman.de

Simran, you may get lucky and get the night watchman tour on March 29th. Just in case, Wurzburg also has a night watchman tour that has some potential.
The great thing about the Rothenburg night watchman tour is that the guy who does it is entertaining. Seeing the guy is half the fun! But if you're looking for a night watchman tour, I'd see if Wurzburg's is going on. Try emailing the Wurzburg tourism board for more information.

Thanks so much for posting this info. I will be in Rothenburg on the 25th & 26th of March and was looking forward to the Nightwatchman's Tour; it's great to learn that we won't miss out.

We have seen the night watchman several times and its one of the highlights of our Europe tour. The guy is great.
