We are going from Prague to Amsterdam and initially were planning to fly but now we can't seem to find a decent priced flight. Would we be better off getting a night train and cutting out one night of paying for a hotel??

Have you checked with SkyEurope.com? Also some other low cost airlines now offer connection flights, like germanwings.com, airberlin.com... But of course night train is always an option if there are any good thru trains...

There is a new direct night train from Prague to Amsterdam, journey time 15 1/2 hours. Fares range from 49 euro for a place in a six person couchette to 199 euro for a private sleeper. You can check fares and book tickets at this site:
