Any suggestion for a nice place to stay in Amsterdam? Most of the Rick's places are booked for when I am travelling(Sept 19 and 20th)

My husband ane I stayed at the Marriot Rennasaince in Amsterdam last September and I thought it was a good location and nice hotel.

When I stay in Amsterdam I usually go with the Golden Tulip Amsterdam - Centre

Hotel prices in AMS have skyrocketed in recent years, if you book ahead via the hotel's website (www.goldentulip.com) you can usually get a good deal. Don't pay extra for the buffet breakfast, there are plenty of places in the immediate area (inclduing a McDonalds) that have cheaper and better food.

TRY Hotel Keisershof in Ricks book. you could also opt to stay in Haarlem (good sights, good food and easy onn budget)with an easy train ride to Amsterdam.

We stayed at the Hotel Washington and it was fine. Simple but tasty breakfast, walking distance of many things, clean, quite area. No elevator, of course. :)

I just returned from Amsterdam last month. My husband and I stayed at Hotel De Leydsche Hof. I believe they have two suites for rent, includes breakfast. Great location. Friendly. Clean.
