Nice France the end of January

We are living in Germany for six months and have a bit of time 29 Jan thru 2 Feb, 2009 that has not yet been scheduled. Would the weather be too cold to enjoy Nice and the surrounding area? We would fly from Frankfurt to make the best use of time. Thanks for any information.

Looks like mid 50's during the day and mid 40's at night (F). According to weather.com.

For January, that is to be expected. And for me, touring would not be a problem at that temp. 20's...that is a tad chilly.

Thanks, Amy. We lived in Stevens Point, WI for 25 years and then moved to northern MN...loghome on a lake...I guess I can handle a little cold. So, Nice for 5 days in the 50's should work just fine.

We were there over New Years a couple of years ago. Light jacket weather with some rain. Plenty of Palm trees so you know it doesn't get too cold. It is not "lay of the beach" weather but very reasonable but expect some rain.
