Planning to take the bus 99 between the airport in Nice and downtown Nice. My hotel is near the Negresco Hotel and does anyone know if I could get off at the Negresco rather than walking back from Place Massena. If there is a stop, the name? I know the bus picks up along the route between the start at Place Massena to the airport.

Route 98 (the "slow" bus route from the airport) stops at all stops along the Promenade des Anglais, one of which is near the Negresco.

Can you not save time by taking a cab from the airport? Is it that much more expensive than a bus?
