New Years Eve in Spain!

Hi,

I am planning on spending this New Years Eve in Spain. I was wondering if anyone has some good information about which city would be best to spend New Years Eve?...I was thinking it would be between Barcelona, Madrid and Seville. If you have any other recommendations, please let me know! (this is my first time to Spain!)

Thanks,

Julie:)

The classic venue is Plaza Mayor in Madrid. In Seville, you'll find a big, international crowd in Plaza Nueva (in front of the town hall). Personally, I find New Year's Eve (Noche Vieja) to be a bit of a let down, but that's probably because the nightlife during the rest of the year is at least as good.

My wife and I are making a similar trip, and opted for 3 nights in Barcelona and 4 in Madrid, with New Year's Eve in Madrid...we're thinking that a big city may have some things open/available on 1 Jan, as well, and would like to take a long day excursion to Seville on 2 Jan, and so Madrid makes sense for us. Best of luck!

Well Sevilla would definitely be the least cold of those three to be spending New Year's Eve....
