New Year in Granada or Seville?

We're going to southern Spain for a couple of weeks which include the New Year. Where do you think is the best place to be for New Years eve? We are not looking for grand parties, just somewhere where people are out and about and enjoying themselves. Any suggestions will be appreciated, Thanks!

I haven't spent a New Years Eve in Spain so I can't speak from experience on that aspect. I do think that Granada is a wonderful city and would prefer it to Seville though you won't go wrong with either choice! Cheers!

We were in Seville last New Years eve. We stayed in Barrio Santa Cruz and there were many many people about until around 2 - 3 am. Fireworks etc. The crowds were noisy and happy but in no way intimidating - of course it is quite usual for there to be people around until midnight or later any night of the year.

I have not spent NYE in Granada - it is smaller but may have a similar atmosphere.
