We will be in Paris for New Year's Eve this year (so excited!) but have not quite figured out what we want to do that evening. What is there to do in Paris on New Year's Eve? Are there fireworks or another celebration? Where is the "best" place to be at midnight? Any suggestions will help. Thanks!

I'm sure there are clubs, etc. that you can go to...for a price. We were there two years ago for NYE. I was under the impression that there would be fireworks at the Eiffel Tower, and no one told me any different when I mentioned it. We positioned ourselves on the Pont Neuf with a great view of the tower. Many people gathered and before midnight the bridge was full of people. They brought wine & champagne. It was very festive. And then it was midnight. All eyes were on the E.T. And the lights on the tower started sparkling, just like they do at the top of every hour. No fireworks. Nothing different. Some people on the bridge brought their own fireworks, so that was nice. But I will admit, it was a bit of a letdown from what we were expecting. Either way, NYE or any other time in Paris is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
