Turns out we can get on a flight from London to Marseille for free. So here is our new France itinerary: 1. Land in Marseille 2. Either: a) at the airport, take the train to Avignon and after touring Avignon, rent a car to tour the rest of Provence, or
b) at the airport, rent a car, drive to a B&B outside of Avignon and tour the rest of Provence via car (but walk/take public transportation in Avignon). 3. Spend three days in Provence. 4. Take the high-speed train to Paris. 5. Spend three days in Paris. Sounds good?
