Very interesting, but I am going to miss it since it won't still be on when I get back to Berlin in June 2011. I would have liked to see DHM's reasons for Hitler's rise. Thanks for the tip.

Just went to see this exhibition earlier this week. Very crowded and had to wait about 15 min. to get in. It sort of made it hard to read the text on all the pictures. School vacations have been on here in Germany and the Netherlands, so lots of students here too.

I thought it was extremely interesting and certainly worth a visit if you are going to Berlin. Have been reading several books along this line recently, so this helped re-inforce many of the ideas put forward by the various authors.

They had audio guides available, so this might be helpful, especially for those who don't read German. Much of the exhibit had English text, but some stuff didn't.

I just hope that this in no way excuses or ameliorates his despicable crimes.

Robert, did you even look at the website that Tyler posted? So, of course it doesn't, there is huge controversy just to even have this here at all. I would venture to say that most Germans find hitler despicable, hate him for what he did, hate that he destroyed so many lives as well as their country.

The exhibition is there to explain how it all came about. People often ask, well, why didn't anyone stop him, why did they go along with everything. Here you can find out why. This is the very first time that anything like this has ever been presented in Germany.
