The Deutsche Bahn used to have this special ticket, "Quer Durch Deutschland" (All the Way Through Germany), but discontinued it last year. Now, they have brought it back. It is pretty basic - Regional trains only, Mon. - Fri. after 09:00. First person pays 42 euro, each person after that pays 6 euro each, for up to a total of 5 people. All I can say is "Wunderbar". I regretted the loss of the QDLT (Quer Durchs Land Ticket) when they discontinued it last year. It bridged the gap between Länder tickets and the Schönes-Wochenende-Ticket. I'm happy it's back.
