For some reason, we wrote down that we can only visit Neuschwanstein Castle on Wednesdays. Now we dont know why! I could have sworn they only offer wheelchair accessible tours on Wednesdays, but the website doesnt say that. Maybe that was changed. I emailed their staff. They dont seem to prefer which day I come as long as I make a reservation. Any idea why Wednesdays would be best for visiting Neuschwanstein Castle? THANKS!!!!

Did you read this page on their website? It doesn't say anything about it being limited to Wednesdays, either. I don't know how they accommodate disabled, as the normal tour has a lot of steps in narrow staircases. Have they added elevators? The booking form asks for the number of disabled (there is a €1 discount for students, seniors, or disabled, so maybe that is why they ask).

After your trip, please post back about how they arranged the wheelchair accessible tour. Like Lee, I'm curious, because I can't imagine how this could be done.
