We arrive in Rotterdam, and plan to visit Amsterdam museums, Leiden, Haarlem, Noordswijk. Should we use a Hollandpass or a Museumkaart? Thanks!
hi, you may want to pencil out what you want to do/see in each place you want to go and compare which pass will fit the bill. if i remember correctly (iirc) the Museumkaart is good for one year, so you can always come back - hint hint. happy trails.
We just returned from Amsterdam and visited 11 sites covered by the Museumkaart. It saved us money but more importantly let us skip the lines everywhere but Anne Frank. At the newly reopened Rijksmuseum it allowed us in before 10a.m. on Monday, the third day of its reopening. We also used it to stop by a couple of museums we may not have chosen. We even took the Stoomtram (Steam Train) Boat and Museum trip which was a real delight. BTW: Franz Hals museum in Haarlem has a very special exhibition right now showing Hals amidst Rembrandt, Rubens, Titian and Tintoretto...(15 minutes by train from Amsterdam, covered by Museumkaart.
Good luck.
When I bought it a year ago, the Museumkaart was about €45, and as Ray says, it's good for a year. It covers museums all over the country, so it's a very good deal if you're going to more than a few.
