We will be staying in Zermatt for 2 nights to ski and are looking for a middle of the road hotel. We are thinking between $150-$200 per night. Any suggestions? PS we will be on our honeymoon :)

Hi neighbor! First of all, congratulations! You will absolutely love Switzerland - beautiful country. Do not know if this is your first trip over the pond; however, you will find Switzerland to be an extremely expensive country. You may be forced to rethink your hotel budget in Zermatt, especially during ski season. We stayed at Hotel Simi and found it to be absolutely wonderful. It is somewhat above your planned budget. Congratulations! March is "high season" in Zermatt and hotels will be expensive. You can use the search function at www.zermatt.ch to find hotels that have rooms available on your dates. I tried two random dates in mid-March, at mid-week and came up with 10 hotels with rooms. The least expensive, apart from the youth hostel, were Hotel Restaurant Helvetia and Hotel Alpina, each of which had double rooms for around 230 CHF per night.
