I'm looking for a hotel for three people for two nights in November and know very little about Barcelona except for the conflicting information on this and other forums. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in a safe area with shopping, restaurants, etc., nearby under 150 euros per night? Thanks!

Look at laterooms.com I found rooms from 67.00 and a good rating, starting on Nov. 9.

The triple room is a bit of a problem. Try the H10 Catalunya Plaza, which is well-located and gets gread reviews. It does have triple rooms. Their website shows triples for 140 euros on weeknights in November. Weekends are probably higher.

like previous post we found an apartment 1/2 block from the main street "las Ramblas" from laterooms. It was 2 bedroom slept 4 all brand new/our contact was waiting for us and we paid total $100 US per night we used them for scotland as well and never had a problem good luck,

Some time ago I was there and the group stayed at Hotel La Cathederal...near the cathederal square, and it was first rate...safe area, central location, near Las Ramblas, etc.

Andrea, were I you, I would use Rick's suggested hotels in either the Barri Gotic or Eixample.
My wife and I stayed in Eixample last trip and are looking in Barri Gotic for our next visit this spring. We have been all over these areas day and night and never felt insecure.

The reason I suggested H10 Catalunya Plaza is that it is right on the border between Bari Gothic and Eixemple, and they have triple rooms. Also, the express bus from the airport stops at Placa Catalunya, right across from the hotel. This bus is recommended over the metro as a safe way to travel from the airport to hotel with luggage and jetlag.

Try the Silver Aparthhotel, [email protected] Our room was adequate in size, wifi in room or use their computer in the lobby, clean. Breakfast available but not included. There are plenty of restaurants, eating places, and shopping between this hotel and the Ramblas. And it was only 75 euros for a double. YOU NEED TO ASK ABOUT A ROOM FOR THREE> I DO NOT REMEMBER IF THEY HAVE THEM>
