I'm trying to book a tick to see the Alhambra in Granada online. Although some of the website is in english, when I go to purchase the ticket (one) I'm giving choices I don't understand, i.e. Standard 11,00 Euros (I think that means one standard ticke), Minusvalias >33, or Jubilados UE, or Ninor Memores 12. Could someone interpret for me please. I'm also confused about which gate I go in and when. Can I also see the Gardens w/a Standard ticket? Thanks for your help.
Standard admission is 11 Euro, including the booking site fee....choose that. Yes, that ticket covers the gardens. You have three times to enter, depending on what ticket you book...the morning session, 8:30 - 2, the afternoon session, 2 - 8, and the evening session, 10-1130 pm(Mar-Oct only). The booking website will assign you a half hour window inside whatever "band" you've selected.....make note of this, because this is the half hour in which you MUST begin your tour of the Nasrid palaces. If you miss that window, you'll miss out on a major part of the Alhambra experience.
How do I indicate I want the morning session?
Look under the "select a time band" box....it'll drop down to give you the morning and afternoon sessions....pick the one you'd like. The green above that indicates roughly how many of the 3300 admissions for those sessions are still available.
As well, the entrance plaza to the Alhambra is at the "back" of the complex from downtown Granada. The number 32 bus from Plaza Nueva will take you up there for one Euro. There will be two lines at the entrance area....a long one, for general admissions that day, and a much shorter one, for wise people like yourself who have pre-booked tickets. Take your confirmation number there, and you'll get your tickets!
Thank you Norm for the wise information. Without people like you, I'd be stumbling my way around Spain and probably miss the Alhambra, ah hell I'd probably miss the bus!! :-)
They asked to see our passport as well as our confirmation number.
