Please help me to find train going from Berne or Interlaken to Florence. I cannot seem to find the proper train info using bahn site and sbb.ch. Actually, Bahn site lists the train but I cannot confirm that using sbb.ch site.

According to the Swiss Rail site, there are six departures everyday from Bern. Most require a connection in Milan.
The departure that Steve lists:
"But I easily found several trains using a date of next week at sbb.ch.
Bern Th, 03.06.10 dep 13:35 5:50 1 EC, ES Firenze Campo di Marte arr 19:25"
Requires a 45 minute walk between Milano Central and Milano Porta Garibaldi stations.

Just realized that for date such as June 3rd, Bahn and SBB sites give consistent info but if I look at June 24th date, SBB has different info. Could it be that Swiss train schedules change in few weeks?

I see what you mean now. I believe the problem is that the Swiss Rail site hasn't loaded the new summer schedules for later in June yet. But the schedules don't change much from season to season, it at all.

The problem is the Italian train from Milan to Firenze---they probably don't have that one in the SBB schedule yet. (This is an example of why the Cisalpino consortium between SBB and Trenitalia fell apart---the relaxed Italian attitude toward schedules drove the Swiss crazy).
If you just put in Bern to Milan, you'll see the 8:07 am departure on the IC 810 to Brig, and the IC 37 from Brig to Milan. But that one (IC 37) has a little note in German saying the time is estimated based on current schedules (up to June 13).

Thanks so much for your advice everyone. Does it mean it should way for few weeks, after June 13, to check back sbb site to buy tickets in advance for June 24 travel? Or is it ok to buy tickets just 2 or 3 days in advance.
Another question, if I have a Swiss pass, would it cover the discount of the train portion up to Brig?
