I'm looking for a nice Costa Brava beach resort, or possibly a place in Sitges, for my family to stay at for four days at the end of our 19 day Spain vacation. We have a 10:00AM flight from Barcelona at the end of this trip, so I'd like to be close enough to the airport so we don't need a hotel in Barcelona for the last night. We can either go north into Costa Brava and stay in a resort there for three days and then one day in Sitges before we fly out. Or spend four days at Sitges. I am looking for a sand beach with good swimming conditions. Also, snorkeling or scuba would be great. There also need to be enough things to do to satisfy a 16 year old. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Hi, can i make a suggestion that you maybe take a look at the resorts of Palafrugell,Llafranc and Tamariu,all very picturesque coastal resorts and a very nice walk from one to the other. We have also seen scuba diving schools along this coastline .

We stayed in Llafranc a few years ago and really enjoyed it, especially the boat rides with the locals in and out of the caves along the coast. It has a nice beach. I think there were one or two diving centers in the town, although it's not an activity we tried ourselves.
