Rather than staying in a regular hotel for 4-5 days, I would like to have some of the conviences of an apartment too. I prefer to be in the Latin Quarter or Montparnasse. This is my 3rd trip to Paris. I don't need to be near the major tourist sites. Willing to pay about $200/night. Any suggestions? (I have already looked at ParisPerfect. Beautiful apts but a little out of my price range. VacationInParis looked good, but some negatives like no AC or elevators. Bad ankle, can't go down stairs well.)
Thanks for your help.
Try vrbo.com and homeaway.com. You would be renting from the owner, and there might be more flexibility for a rental of less than a week. When are you traveling?
Also try parisbestlodge.com
Also look at some of the "aparthotel" chains, in particular Citadines and Appartcity. Certainly all Citadines will have lifts.
Check out Lodgis. I found out about it on this helpline. I love the website, it has loads of information about the apartments. I love the floorplans and google street views. Also, they seem more reasonably priced than the others mentioned. $200 per night is possible. They do charge a refundable security deposit - that could be a lot of cash to do without during the trip - and they require renters insurance which can be paid up front by credit card. I can't attest to the end result because we haven't actually stayed there yet, but search the helpline for advice from others.
