I will be taking a train from Barcelona to Narbonne. I will then rent a car and drive to the Bordeaux area. I have a few questions. Is it advisable to stay overnight enroute to the Bordeaux region? If so, any suggestions for an overnight destination? Also, what is road like from Narbonne to Bordeaux area?
Alternatively, should I just travel by train from Barcelona to Bordeaux? If so, any advice?
The total time in this area of France is 4 nights.
I will be traveling in September, 2014. My interests are wineries, art, architecture, restaurants, charming towns, smaller hotels.
