Nazare/Alcobaca/Batalha

I will have two nights (so one full day) in Nazare: a) is it straightforward to see both Alcobaca and Batalha by bus in one day? b) what's the best way to get from Nazare to Porto on public transport?
Thanks so much for your help.

I was sorry no one posted as I was interested in the answers. If this helps... You can see Alcobaca and Batalha by bus in a day but it looks like some back tracking. I think we are just going to go to Alcobaca as RS says Batalha is just ok and instead spend a 1/2 day on the beach. We are going in May.
We plan on taking the bus from Nazare to Coimbra

Susan,
Hope I'm not too late with this. Please don't miss Bathalha if you can avoid it! Alcobaca is the prettier town (a lovely plaza surrounding the Abbey), but Bathala Cathedral is spectacular. On the sunny day that we were there the pastel stained glass windows and honey coloured stones of the interior just glowed. The unfinished chapel is a surreal masterpiece. If you can fit both in I would urge you to do it.
