My Paris Itinerary, thoughts?

Day 1 (half-day) - Montmartre, Eiffel Tower at night
Day 2 - Historic Paris walk, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe at night
Day 3 - Musee d'Orsay, Orangerie (in and out here, really just want to see the Waterlilies), Invalides

Sadly, we only have 2.5 days before we move on to the Loire...although we will have another half day at the end of our trip if there's something we absolutely need to see.

Yeah, I know that we'll be moving around a lot, but we're getting the museum pass for days 2 and 3 (full days), so I wanted to do non-pass things on day 1...the historic Paris walk is the RS one, and has NOtre Dame, Ste. Chapelle, Conciergerie etc etc...thanks for the input...

I was in Paris in May and had the same amount of time as you have. On day 1 (half day) I saw Monmarte, Orangerie and Eiffel Tower. Day 2 it was Historic Paris Walk, Musee d'Orsay, Latin District. Day 3 was the Louvre, Champs D'elysses and Arc de Triomphe. As we aren't museum people we didn't spend that much time inside them. We also did the Marais walk as we stayed in that area. We did alot of walking (which we have no problems with and love doing, but I never felt like I cut my time short at any of the sights.

Itinerary looks good. If it includes being in Paris on Monday or Tuesday, remember that the Orsay is closed Mondays and the Louvre and Orangerie are closed Tuesdays.

IMHO, If you want to see the waterlilies (and other Monet paintings) I'd skip the Orangerie and go to the Marmottan (sp?) instead.

Reg, I absolutely agree. But my husband's not much of a museum guy in the first place, and the fact that Orangerie is covered by the museum pass is a plus...also, we'll be back, we can't do everything...
