Must see sights in the Black Forest

My husband and I are going to Germany in May. We will be spending a couple days in the Black Forest and lodging in Staufen. Any suggestions for can't miss activities?
Thanks.

We really enjoyed our day trip to Lake Titisee. Take the little red and white tourist train which leaves from the centre of the town. It takes on you a brilliant sight seeing trip into the forest up and down litttle tracks through the meadows etc.

If you want a thrill, try a summer toboggan. The longest one in Germany is near Staufen. If you're interested in experencing a Spa, something I and Rick Steve enjoyed, go to the Baden-Baden link on the right side of my blog for my experence at the Friedrichsbad. http://tinyurl.com/4gc8rsp

I enjoyed a daytrip to Lake Titisee too. You can rent a canoe or paddle boat and enjoy an hour or so on the lake. You can also walk the trail around the lake.

Went to the Black Forest last March and it was the best part ot our trip. We visited Triberg, very small town, not much of a town but the waterfall is AMAZING!!!! The only problem is that is costs money to see the waterfall, but totally worth it. Also tons of cuckcoo clock stores. Furtwangen has a cuckoo clock museum, pretty cool. Lake Titisee is amazing!!

We spent a week in the Black Forest last summer, staying in Hinterzarten in the southern end. I assume you will have a car. The high road is wonderful, especially the southern end. The Black Forest outdoor museum is great - old buildings brought together in one location. The Triberg waterfall is somewhat interesting (not like the Swiss falls) but make sure you see it from the northern end - the southern end is a LONG walk downhill to where you can see it from near the parking lot. Stop at the clock museum. Visit the wood carving stores! We spent several days taking electric boats on the Titisee. You can drive back by the fast road from Freiburg im Breisgau, which is worth seeing.
