I wasn't sure where to put this, but Rick Steves book was really helpful for my trip to Amsterdam. However, one thing was wrong, so I just wanted to let him and others know about it. There may have been an I missed, and if so, I apologize. Rick writes that if you have a museumkaart for the Anne Frank House, you can go in the side entrance for reservations and they will let you in. We tried this and the guard said we had to wait in the very, very long line. We came back the early the next morning to wait in line. Next time, I would book online. Just wanted to let people know. The museumkaart sometimes let us directly into a museum, but sometimes it still made us get tickets (which were no charge) and wait in line. It varied from museum to museum.
