Museum Pass and Versailles

We will be arriving in Versailles on Thursday afternoon. Our plan is to purchase tickets for the gardens and Petite Jardin for Thursday, then use the museum pass on Friday for the palace. We can then use the museum pass on Saturday for the Louvre and any other museums we want to see on Saturday. We are only in Paris from late Thursday to Sunday. Does this plan make sense
