Hi! I have a family with three children ages 16,13,and 12 is it necessary to purchase museum passes for them or are most museums and monuments free for them in Paris? Thank you!
It depends on which museums you are going to. You find the specific information on the web or a good guidebook.

Kristin,, having taken my chidlren to Paris,, all three on seperate trips,, I found all musuems we chose to see were free for them . Louvre, Orsay, Cluny and Arc De Triomphe are free for kids.
Its really very simple to check which sites are free or not, look them all up, just go on each sites websites,, they all seem to have them, and in english too.
The Towers at Notre Dame( which is free for MP holders, but no line skipping allowed) .
Eiffel Tower is not free , and it is also not included with Museum pass, you can however buy a ticket now online with a timed entry which is supposed to help avoid long waits.
No need to buy MP for kids, do bring id,, at least for the 16 yr old , as he/she may look older . They never asked for id for my kids but they were 11, 14 and 14 when they went and looked young.
Thank you so much for the info!
