I will be visiting Chillon Castle in the morning about 9:30 am and have the rest of the day available. I have my own transportation. Any suggestions for the afternoon? Ouchy's Olympic museum is closed for the summer. Is the Olympic museum park worthy of a visit? What about a quick trip for the afternoon to Murten? I could also be available for a complete day in the Murten area - any suggestions?

The Olympics museum is going to be closed for a couple of years while they add a new floor to the top of the building. There is a small temporary museum housed in a boat across the street. Most of the park is fenced off due to the construction. Consider heading to Gruyere and the nearby Nestle Callier chocolate factory.
