I am planning on spending a day in Mürren, and wanting to do a easy hike, the one I have mention in the topic is label as easy from a website. Have anyone here ever been on this hike? did you like it? Thanks for all replies.
Hello Mark,
I did this hike last year and it was the highlight of my trip. The view back down is stunning. I too wanted to do an easy hike and found this to be just right. I wish I had done it twice so beautiful was it.
Mark,
I also did the hike from Allmend-Hubel, and it was beautiful. I posted another reply on the subject recently, so if you're interested do a search.
Happy travels!
Mark, I've been to the Berner Oberland twice, and been on several hikes in the area. The hike from Almendhubel is my absolute favorite. We took the 2 hour route down to Gimmelwald, but I'm pretty sure you can take a shorter way back down to Murren which would be a reasonably easy hike.
It's a shame you will only be spending 1 day in Muerren. It's an absolutely stunning place.
We went last year from Grütschalp to Allmendhuble, then all the way to Gimmewald and it was the most amazing experience. We love it so much we're going back.
Its really too bad that you don't have a second day because the hike from Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg was equally impressive. We had lunch in Kleine Scheidegg, then continued on Wengen, we were so excited and it was all downhill. The pastures full of cows and the views of the valley are really amazing. Enjoy!
