munich/vienna with baby

hi,
does anyone know if the palaces (neuschwanstein, residenz, nymphenburg) in munich allow strollers? are the trams accessible to strollers? we are going with a baby in april. we have been to london and paris last sepetember and have found those cities to be stroller friendly. took the buses everywhere with no problem even with the stroller. also, i am trying to book a train ticket from salzburg to vienna. i know there are baby compartments in trains but i can't figure out how to book this online. any help is appreciated.
thanks!

I don't know if Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau have any rules specifically forbidding strollers, but using one in either castle is impractical. The tours of both castles involve climbing several sets of narrow, spiral staircases. You may want to consider another means of carrying the baby.

The cities themselves are child stroller friendly, there are strollers everywhere (and they're built for the cobblestone streets). However in the castles you'll want to have either a sling or a pack for the baby to ride in. We took our 3 week old son through them last spring and I carried him in a ring sling the whole time. The residenz will have you change your stroller for one they have, but be prepared to carry it up and down stairs all the way through (did that in December with our 8 month old).

I'm not sure about baby compartments though.
