Munich to Venice train tickets w/ Eurail pass?

So I admit that I hate using the DB Bahn website. (1) We already have a Eurail pass and I'm not sure how to use it while booking online, and (2) it won't show me prices for day trains, it just says unavailable.

It's probably too late for a night train (June 29). The prices are ridiculous...

The same question is posted under Transportation. Might be better to keep the answers there so as not to cause too much confusion.

Except for the night train from Munich to Venice, there is not a direct (no train change) connection between Munich and Venice. There are four daily EC over Brenner Pass to Italy, but the closest they get to Venice is Verona, and you have to take an Italian train (booked from Italy) from Venice to Verona. Usually, the Bahn does not show a price for online tickets for a trip with a segment entirely inside Italy. You can see fares (both standard and discounted Europa-Spezial fares) and order tickets with reservations online for those trains from Munich to Verona, but the Bahn does not sell pass holder reservation alone online for those trains.

Actually, Frank, this question is about online booking, including day trains. The question on the Transportation board is just about night trains.

This is why I advise people considering a rail pass to find out beforehand things like "how you get reservations". Your best bet for a day train reservation now is probably RailEurope for an inflated price.

You should have checked all this out before leaping for a rail pass.

Actually, sellers of rail passes need to be more upfront about their product. Often, reservations to use with a rail pass are expensive and very difficult to come by, and travelers would be better served to just buy point-point tickets. But rail pass sellers aren't going to let you know that in advance.
