Munich to Garmisch

A friend is joining us on the 8th day of our 18 day trip in Garmisch. I see that when she gets in to Munich she needs to get to the Munich Hbf, then take a train to Garmisch. We'll possibly take the train from Garmisch - Fussen - Garmisch and then Garmisch - Munich. I saw something about a Bavaria ticket, but from what I could tell, its only a day ticket or should she just get point-point tickets? Any suggestions as to what type of train pass she should get?

I'm sorry, but your question is a little disjointed. You friend is flying into MUC and going to Garmish-Partenkerchen to meet you? As long as she is leaving the airport after 9 AM, her best ticket is a €21 Bayern-Ticket Single bought at the airport. That will cover her travel (1 person) from the airport into the Hauptbahnhof and then from the Munich Hbf to Garmisch. Then, on another day you, three of you?, are going from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Füssen and back. I think your best bet is to go from Garmisch-Partenkerchen to Füssen by bus (RVO 9606) via Oberammergau. It'll take about 2 hours. Use RVO Tages-Tickets at €9 per person. It's valid for transportation all day long on the buses of RVO. Or, you can take the train through the Tirol to Pfronten, then a bus from Pfronten-Ried Bahnhof to Füssen. For this trip you can use a €29 Bayern-Ticket, RT, as long as you start after 9 AM.
