Munich Restaurant Suggestion?

Thanks to everyone who responded to my previous post. Here is another question. I will be in Munich doing a training for work. I would like to take people attending the training to dinner. I think a Bavarian restaurant/brewery would be fun (most of the training attendees are from outside of Germany). From what I've heard from co-workers Hofbrauhaus is too noisy for a dinner like this. I also need someplace with at least 1 vegetarian option. Suggestions? The training is at the Holiday Inn which is at the Rosenheimer Platz station. Thanks!

Hofbrauhaus has more tables and dining rooms upstairs that are a bit quieter and less rowdy than the downstairs crowd. I've dined in both places and I much prefer the downstairs crowd!

No need to look any further I have just what you are looking for. I had to cut and paste the info below off a website. We live in Munich and my husband works for BMW so whenever we have guests -business or otherwise we always take them here. It is right off the Marienplatz and Rosenheimer platz is only a couple of Ubahn stops away. It is large and they take reservations and lots of time I have seen big business type dinners going on so they are used to groups.

I also agree that the Hofbrau is tooooo noisy, and touristy for that matter. Haxenbauer is much more local.

Haxenbauer
Sparkassenstrasse 8
Tel: +49 89-291-6210
Cuisine Type: German

If you like pork, then prepare yourself for the most incredible roast suckling pig and roasted schweinhax'n (crunchy pork thigh). While the service doesn't go overboard to make you welcome, the food is too good to ignore (as is the pig on a spit in the window).

I can't remember the name of the place, but there's a decent restaurant associated with the Paulaner brewery near Marienplatz... it's not the more rowdy Brauhaus, doesn't anyone know the name?

The following micro-brewery/restaurant is my favorite in Munich. It's right behind the German Museum and not touristy. www.wirtshausinderau.de (Wirtshaus in der Au). You'd need to make reservations at every day as it's always packed with locals. I recommend you eat one of the platters for 2 or more (depending on how many you are) as they come with the best of the modern and traditional Bavarian cuisine.

We went to the Augustiner in Marienplatz. It was great.
