We are traveling to Mittenwald after Switzerland and now wonder if we should not stay in Munich instead.
We had planned to stay for 5 days in Mittenwald but now its down to 3 and we want to do a day trip to the castle/Fuessen which is closer to Munich than to Mittenwald. We aslo feel that there will be a lot more to do in Munich and we could do a day trip to Mittenwald and Gamisch Partenkirchen. I would like some feedback from anyone who has done a daytrip from
Mittenwald to the castle (we will use public transportation),and if you had any suggestions for a hotel/bed and breakfast in Munich. Thanks!

Thanks, James. You know, I was thinking the same thing. After 6 days in Switzerland (Muerren) we may feel the need to pick up the pace a bit. And Munich seems so exciting and with much to do including side trips.

You have to decide what interests you the most. If, after Switzerland, you want to enjoy even more nature and scenery, Mittenwald has it, although 3 or 5 days there might be a bit much. Munich has all of the attractions associated with a larger city, plus connections to Garmisch, Dachau, Füssen, and Salzburg.
